Howl at the Moon Thursdays
Scotland’s only live duelling piano jukebox!
Every Thursday here at Brewhemia we go howling at the moon!
An evening of musical marvel with food and drinks aplenty throughout, simply choose a song and our duelling piano maestros play it live for you.
Live Duelling-Piano Jukebox
The concept of duelling pianos goes back to the late 1800’s when ragtime piano players would “duel” in an effort to determine the better and faster player. Hailing from Chicago and New Orleans, then working its way across other parts of the United States over the next century and beyond, in 2018 it now makes it’s way in to the heart of Scotland’s capital city of Edinburgh, every Thursday night at Brewhemia.
How It Works
It’s simple: you choose a song and our duelling piano maestros play it live for you. Write down your song of choice on one of our request cards, then our Howl Girls collect them all and the songs are chosen on stage.
Our Piano Maestros
Our entertainers are made up of Steve, drummer extraordinaire providing the beat behind the melody, and Mark, our piano maestro and vocalist leading your Thursday night entertainment. Mark’s opposing pianist rotates every week to keep the challenge as fresh as our tank fresh brews!
Perfect Date Night
Whether you’re looking for a unique first date experience or something different to enjoy with your spouse, Howl’s relaxed atmosphere and engaging live entertainment, along with our delicious Brewhemian food and drink, makes for a wonderful evening perfect for any date night.
After Work Drinks
What better way to relax after a long day at the office than a night out with your work chums? Perhaps you’re in the mood to chill out with a bite to eat and some live music, or maybe you’re looking to celebrate with a few rounds of drinks and a nice meal – Howl at the Moon every Thursday at Brewhemia has you covered.
Hot Rock Steaks
What better to supplement a perfect night than a perfect deal on food and drink? Get two of our amazing Hot Rock Steaks with four sides and a bottle of house Prosecco for just £50! These beautifully cut sirloin steaks come served on a piece of volcanic rock heated to 400ºC – meaning you can watch your steak sizzle away right in front of you until it’s cooked just how you like it!
